Eugene Costello, Army

A Celebration of Life service for Eugene Robert Costello, age 61 of Clarksville, will be Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:30 PM until the time of service.

Eugene passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Tennova Healthcare. He was born on July 5, 1959 in Dolton, IL to William James Costello, Sr. and Elizabeth Riordan Costello who preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Danute Gaurilius Costello; son, Jason (Kayla) Costello; daughter, Sarah (John Whisenhunt) Costello; brothers, William Costello and Daniel (Francis) Costello; sisters: Margaret Costello, Judy Stankus, Mary Ellen (Detlef) Toporek, and Bridget (Christopher) Czubernat; and 20 nieces and nephews.

Eugene served his county in the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion and the Night Stalkers Association. He loved spending time with his family and giving his attention to his dog, Missy.
