Funeral service for Ethel Mae Thomas, age 81 of Clarksville, will be Thursday, Jan 28, 2016 at 12:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow in the KY Veterans Cemetery West at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Jan 27, 2016 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home, and Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Ethel passed away on Sunday, Jan 24, 2016 at Signature Health Care in Clarksville. She was born on Apr 26, 1934 in Everett, Washington the youngest child to Herbert and Freida Paulson. She was an avid bowler at Skyline Lanes and was a retired bus driver for the Montgomery County School system also driving for the Northeast wrestling team and Northwest school band.Ethel was an employee of Walmart for the past 15 years. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Ethel was dedicated to her family and she is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ret. T/Sgt.(Air Force) Henry Ford Thomas; 6 daughters, Linda Newberry (Rollis), Brenda Zimmerman, Patty Thomas, Robin Baskin(Bobby), Kim Thomas, Tiffany Rock (Paul); 8 grandchildren, Mike, Charles and Amy Zimmerman, August and Haley Thomas, Henry Baskin, Kaleb Hughes, and Matthew Rock, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Children's Miracle Network, childrenshospital.vanderbilt.org
