Elizabeth "Jean" Walker

A Celebration of Life service for Elizabeth "Jean" Walker, age 78, of Clarksville, TN, will be Friday, May 6, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Rev. Ben Falls will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of service.

Jean was born in Montgomery County on December 14, 1943, to Russell and Ruthie Copeland Lyle. She passed away on May 2, 2022. Jean loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed making floral arrangements for Antioch United Methodist Church where she was a member. She also liked to sew and make quilts. Jean was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star.

In addition to her parents, Jean is preceded in death by her son, James "Wesley" Walker, Jr. and sisters, Ann Tuberville and Linda Valez. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, James "Jimmy" Walker, Sr.; daughter, Gina (Cullom) Lavell; daughter-in-law, Lynette Walker; brothers: Jimmy (Kathy) Lyle and Joe (Linda) Lyle; grandchildren: Ashley (Randy) Capps, Trevor (Anthony Johnson) Lavell, and Mason Walker; and 7 great- grandchildren.
