Elizabeth Rebecca Rowland, 86, Clarksville, died Wednesday, September 17, 2008, at Spring Meadows Nursing Home.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Rye's Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Glyndia Dodson and Rev. Melvin Brooks officiating.
Burial will be in Rye's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 Friday at the funeral home, and 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. at the church.
Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Rowland was born April 17, 1922, in Montgomery County, daughter of Oliver Columbus Groves and Mabry Harper Groves. She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth V. Rowland.
Mrs. Rowland retired from B.F. Goodrich, and was a member of Rye's Chapel UMC.
Survived by two sons Bob (Fern) Perry, Franklin, TN and Ray (Lia) Rowland of Clarksville; brother O.C.Groves, Cunningham, sisters Mildred Williams, Clarksville and June Wall of Southside. Grandchildren are Amy Osborne, Andrea Perry, Antonio Rowland, and great grandchildren Chase Osborne, Anthony Rowland and Savanah Rowland.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers, Honorary pallbearers will be Rye's Chapel Sunday School Class.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Rye's Chapel
