Edward Young
March 9, 1948 — July 2, 2017
Memorial Mass for Edward Joseph Young, age 69 of Clarksville, will be Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. A rosary service will be held Friday, July 7th, 2017 at 7:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Edward passed away on Sunday, July 02, 2017 at VA Hospital in Nashville.
He was born on March 09, 1948 in St. Mary's, PA to Wilfred and Leona Young. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Pistner, grandson, Steven Young and great-granddaughter, Tinley Marie.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Helen Zelt Young, children; Troy (Daylene) Young, Stephanie (Craig) Flood, Timothy Smith, Todd (Jim DeCesaro) Pfeufer, Tammy (Curtis) Jensen, and, brother, Wayne (Nancy) Young, brother in law, Harold "Whitey" Pistner, and grandchildren; Gabrielle, Alexandra, Cheyanne, Chelsea, Nicholas, Katie, Andrew, Steffen, Corie, Jaycie, and Lucas. Edward is also survived by a special friend, Bella Ferretti.
The family requests that friends wear NASCAR shirts or sports affiliated attire to the services in tribute to Eddie.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.
