Edward Rinehart Kimbro, age 89, of Burns, TN passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013 at his residence. Mid-South Funeral Care is in charge of arrangements. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2013 at the Dickson Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at the church.
He was born in Hickman County, TN on March 23, 1924 to the late Manuel Ray Kimbro, Sr and the late Emma Mayberry Kimbro. He was also preceded in death by a son, Dwight Kimbro; step-son, Ronnie Sweeney; brothers, Cedric Kimbro, Jack Kimbro and sister, Cynthia Mitchell.
He was a retired Guard at the Turney Center and a member of the Church of Christ at Burns, TN.
He is survived by wife, Ruby Jean Donaldson Kimbro; son, Christopher (Teresa) Kimbro; daughter, Sandra (Buster) Bagwell; step-sons, Lester Sweeney, Tim (Tammy) Sweeney, Keith Sweeney; brother, Manuel Ray (Shirley) Kimbro, Jr. and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
