Edna Edwards

Edna Louise Burnett Edwards, age 89, of Clarksville passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Walking Horse Meadows.  Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Edwards was born June 18, 1923 in Jackson, TN, daughter of the late William Levi and Lela Glass Burnett.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Lyle Edwards.  She served in the Marine Corps during WWII and was a member of the James McCutcheon Chapter, Marine Corps League, Clarksville, TN.  She is survived by nieces, Mary Fields, Seattle, WA, Beverly Williams, St. Cloud, MN; nephews, Paul Burnett, Minneapolis, MN and David Burnett, Spokane, WA.  There will be no services and the remains are to cremated.  She will be interred with her husband of 60 years at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, Hopkinsville, KY.  Mrs. Edwards was a Presbyterian.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Clarksville Humane Society.   Online condolences may be made at www.sykesfuneralhome.com
