She was a member of Clarksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church and spent time as an LPN after her children were grown. Earleen was an Atlanta Braves and Tennessee Volunteers fan and enjoyed gardening everything from flowers to vegetables. She will be missed terribly by her family because she was the best at making biscuits, peanut butter fudge, and brownies.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brothers: James Atkins, Henry Atkins, and Dean Atkins. Earleen is survived by her children: Rhonda Smith Hester (Steve), Van Smith (Kim Davis Smith), and Michael Smith (Julia) ; grandchildren: Jessica Hester Stutts (Brandon), Jennifer Hester Bowling (Josh), Jordan Hester, Amanda Smith Masters (Bobby), Lauren Smith Swift (Paul), Caleb Smith, Matthew Smith (Megan), and Brittany Lauren Rohling (Lawrence); 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Elsie Marklin; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Stutts, Josh Bowling, Jordan Hester, Caleb Smith, Matthew Smith, Griffin Stutts, Bobby Masters, and Paul Swift. Tatum Stutts and Thomas Bowling will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Country Cottage and Compassus Hospice in Lawrenceburg, TN.
