Dr. Jeannette Mcmurry

Dr. Jeannette J. McMurry died October 28, 2017 in Marietta, Ga. A graveside service and burial will be at The Living Hope Baptist Church Cemetery on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 1:00PM. Dr. Derek Smith will officiate.
Dr. McMurry was born June 29, 1938 in Montgomery County, Tennessee to Noble and Beulah Slate McMurry. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Rachel.
Prior to moving to Marietta, Ga., she worked for Civil Service at Fort Campbell, Ky. She earned her Bachelor and Masters degree in elementary education from Austin Peay and a Doctor of Education Degree at the University of Tennessee. She taught school and retired from the Marietta School System. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Marietta, Ga and a former member of Little Hope Baptist Church in Clarksville.
She is survived by several cousins and friends.
