Dorothy Mae Rudolph, age 97 of Palmyra, passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021. She was born on July 3, 1923 in Buffalo, NY to Stephen and Esther Noyd Jesall. She was a Cum Laude graduate of Austin Peay State University. Dorothy was the Vice Chair of the League of Women Voters and part of the to Planning Commission in Chula Vista, CA and was appointed as a Tennessee Colonel by Gov. Ned McWherter. Dorothy and her husband also attended the Inaugural Ball when invited by President Bill Clinton. Her family describes her as a "woman of many talents". From cooking her amazing meals to building massive fireplaces from scratch, there was nothing she couldn't do!
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Frederick Rudolph and sisters, Gloria, Peggy, and Joan. Dorothy is survived by her children: Louis (Mary Anne) Rudolph, Darlene Worcester, John (Angelica) Rudolph, and Kimberly Rudolph; 4 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
