Dorothy Griffey, age 93 passed away Feb. 22, 2012 at Spring Meadows. Visitation will be Friday Feb. 24, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. at Sykes Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt Pleasant Cemetery.

Miss Griffey was born May 15, 1918 in Stewart Co. to William Griffey and Theodosia Abney Griffey. She was a member of Mt Pleasant United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by 3 brothers, Mannie, Lacy, and Henry Lyman and 4 sisters, Elizabeth, Ellabelle, Ester, and Ruby. She is survived by several Hogan and Griffey nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
