Dorothy Virginia Carpenter Davis passed away March 23, 2011. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jon Justice officiating. Visitation will be begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until the hour of service on Saturday. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Davis was born May 14, 1924 in Clarksville, daughter of the late Alvis and Gertrude Carpenter. She was preceded in death by her husband Sidney W. Davis, one brother and two sisters. She is survived by daughter; Jane Phelps of Rustburg, Va, a son; Sidney Edward Davis of Clarksville, a sister Joyce Stuart of Clarksville, twelve grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
