Doris Helen Haynes Ray, age 77 of Clarksville passed away Saturday, May 25, 2013 at her residence. Sykes Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. The Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Lannom officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service on Thursday at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery.
She was born September 25, 1935 in Clarksville, TN to the late Marvin and Lena Byard Haynes. She was also preceded in death by 5 sisters and 2 brothers.
She was a member of Heart and Soul Ministries and was employed as a Private Duty Nurse.
She is survived by son, James Randell (Kim) Birdwell; daughter, Lena (Juan) Lopez; brother, O'Neal (Gladys) Haynes, grandchildren, Cammie Birdwell, Jason Birdwell, Nicole Lagerquist and great-grandchild Layla Elmalah.
Pallbearers will be, Phillip Wayne Arms, Tommy Arms, Stanley Arms, Phil Arms, Billy Haynes, James Haynes, Brian Demo and Jason Bender.
