Doris May Paxton Buthje, age 82 of Clarksville passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014 at her residence. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Larry Peters officiating.
She was born in Louisville, KY on December 8, 1931 to the late William and Lillian Taffey Paxton Herdt. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John H. Buthje, Jr.; son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Lynn Buthje; and step-father, Randolph Herdt.
She was retired from the Business Office at Clarksville Memorial Hospital and a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her son, John H. Buthje, III; daughter, Diane Buthje George; grandchildren, Brent (Kayla) Buthje, Lillian Buthje, Jamie (Brittany) Stanfill, Courtney George and great-grandson, Jason Stanfil.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, 2041 Madison Street, Clarksville, TN 37043.
