Donald Eugene Stewart, age 60, Phenix City, AL formerly of Clarksville passed a way Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Columbus Regional Medical Center in Columbus, GA. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. The Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2013 at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Sykes Funeral Home and 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with full military honors.
He was retired from the US Navy having served in the Viet Nam War with numerous awards and medals.
He was born in Falls City, NE on March 4, 1953 to the late Donald and Darlene Brisby Stewart. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Guillerma Baquero Stewart.
He is survived by sons, Danilo Ortega, Kevin Stewart, Donald Stewart, Edelbert Stewart; daughter, Angel Ann Cassady and a brother, Michael (Valarie) Stewart.
Military Personnel will serve as pallbearers.
