Dixie Harrison

Dixie Jean Harrison, age 76 of Clarksville, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Vanderbilt Medical Center.

A funeral service for Dixie will be Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Excell Baptist Church at 328 Excell Rd, Clarksville, TN 37043. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery .  The family will receive friends on Monday, June 10, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home and Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Excell Baptist Church.

Dixie was born on December 2, 1942 in Cowden, IL to the late Guy Camfield and Martha Beason Schultz.  She was an active member of Excell Baptist Church and retired from the Montgomery County criminal courts office. She and her husband were volunteers at Loaves and Fishes for many years.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Dotson Dean Harrison; her sons, Brian (Lawanda) Harrison and Wesley Harrison;  grandchildren, Winter Harrison; Mitchell Harrison, and Connor Harrison; and  great-grandchild, Dean Kellar.

Pall bearers will include: David Harrison, Roger Dale Harrison, John Stanley, Butch Schmittou, Ray Greene. Darrell Peeler, and Lonnie Castleberry. Honorary pall bearers will include: Tim Harrison, Jerald Harrison, and Phillip Harrison.
