Dexter Leon Austin
A beloved brother, friend and an angel in our hearts, Dexter Leon Austin, age 61, died peacefully at Gateway Medical Center on Saturday, September 29, 2012 with family and friends by his side. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at the Austin Cemetery on Commissary Ridge Road, Indian Mound, TN.
He was born June 11, 1951 in Stewart County, TN to the late Elbert and Katie Carter Austin. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Velma Burkhart and a brother, Carmel Austin.
He is survived by three sisters, Faye Thomas, Allensville, KY, Betty Wyatt, Dover, TN and Janice Walker, Erin, TN.
