Debra Jo Terhune, age 53 of Clarksville, passed away on Thursday, July 06, 2017 at her home. She fought brain cancer for nine years with a smile and the will to inspire others. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 10, 2017 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Sykes Funeral Home in Clarksville, TN and Wednesday, July 12, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Alexander Funeral Home in Lafayette, TN, and again on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Alexander Funeral Home in Lafayette. Burial will follow in the Macon County Memorial Gardens.
She was born on Oct 04, 1963 in Red Boiling Springs, TN to Shirley Goad and Joella (Gregory) Etheridge. She was a Human Resource Manager for Quad Graphics where she worked for over 25 years. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family and her beloved dogs. She was a fundraising advocate for the Brain Tumor Alliance in Middle Tennessee. She was known as "Momma Debs" to many and lived her life to help and love others. She loved the Lord and loved telling about all he had done in her life. She is preceded in death by her mother; brothers; Eddie Goad, Jeff Emmert and Greg Emmert; and step-mother, Evon Goad.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Terhune, daughter, Amber Love; father, Shirley Goad; brother, Shane Goad; sisters, Tabatha Harp and Natalie Turner.
