Darlene Watts Nicholson, 87, Clarksville, died Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at Gateway Medical Center.
The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Keith Wilson officiating.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Nicholson was born February 4, 1923 in Cheatham County, daughter of the late Joe and Hazel Sanders Watts. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Nicholson, brothers Jady Watts, Gilbert Watts, Cecil Watts, and her sister Maureen Holt.
She retired from Acme Boot Co, is a member of Trinity Baptist Church, and quilting was her hobby.
Survived by her son Ronnie (Elaine) Nicholson, and daughter Barbara Ann (Willard) Perry, and six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Other survivors include her sisters Ruby Shephard, Margie Wall and Dorothy Brake.
Pallbearers are Robert Nicholson, Mike Swaim, Jackie Finley, Randy Downey, Johnny Myers and Brian Perkins. Honorary pallbearers are Logan Nicholson, Jacob Nicholson, Jeremy Downey, Brandon Perry, Dylan Perkins, and Dalton Perkins.
