Danny Wayne Tinsley

A Celebration of Life service for Danny Wayne Tinsley, age 66, will be Sunday, July 2, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Pastor Rose Taylor will be officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 1, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and again on Sunday, from 12:00 PM until the time of service.

Danny was born on January 12, 1957 in Clarksville, TN to JD and Lois Tinsley. He passed away unexpectedly on June 27, 2023. Danny and his wife worked alongside each other opening their own businesses, Danny’s East College Towing and TNT Towing, from 1995 until their retirement. They were instrumental in the development of the Montgomery County Towing Association. 

Danny attended Bethlehem United Methodist Church. He enjoyed riding back roads and visiting casinos with his wife. He would often spend his free time fishing, watching NASCAR, and attending classic car shows. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, of 33 years, Teresa Tinsley and his uncles, Alec and Joe Tinsley. He is survived by his sons, Greg Tinsley and Ricky (Carol) Tinsley; daughters, Londa Wall and Jennifer (Aaron) Trammell; grandchildren: Bridget (Ben) Kennedy, Arian Way, Alexis Tinsley, Zachary Tinsley, Katlyn Trammell, and Adisyn Trammell; and siblings, Randy (Cheryl) Tinsley and Pam Atwood. 

Pallbearers will be James McKee, Aaron Trammell, Jessie Tinsley, Dalton Johns, Bradley Burkhart, Kelton Wright, Gary Conatser, and Ben Kennedy. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Tinsley, Billy Jones, Zachary Tinsley, Ryan Puryear, and Brad Albaugh.
