Daniel Ward Bost, age 95 of Clarksville, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at his residence. Loved ones were at his bedside. He was born March 8, 1924 in Osawatomie, KS to Daniel Oscar Bost and Cuma (Elam) Bost. He was fondly called "Ward" by family and "Danny" by his many friends and co-workers.
Danny was a World War II veteran, serving in the US Army.
Work was very much a part of Danny's life. He was a pharmacy assistant and retail clerk for Katz Drugs in Kansas City, MO for 30 years. He joined RGIS Inventory Services in his early 60's and continued working there into his upper 80's. Clarksville, Tn became his home after retirement in 2011.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Evelyn Weaver, and one brother, Caleb Otis Bost. Surviving him are his two sisters, Mildred Porritt of Michigan and Vivian Prater of Nevada. He also leaves behind his long time friend, John Cobb, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Danny had a great love of music, especially jazz, classical, and 80's music. He had a desire to keep up with current technology and was very computer savvy. When not at work, he could be found in front of his computer, soda and chips in hand, with headphones enjoying his favorite music. He would never pass up a chance to dine out with friends and co-workers, he always loved a good meal.
Danny was a very witty, social and caring man with a work ethic that was hard to match. He had a great love for family, friends and co-workers. He was very loved and respected in return. Danny will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
