Daleton John Smith, 82, Big Rock, died Saturday, June 12, 2010, at Gateway Medical Center. A private memorial service will be held at a later date in Woodbridge, Virginia. He was born May 9, 1928 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Daleton James Smith and Elsie A. Krauss. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary W. Smith and son, Douglas Smith.
Mr. Smith was a retired Tax Consultant and served in the US Navy during the WWII conflict. He is survived by three sons; Brian (Barbara) Smith of Manassas, VA, Kevin Smith of Palmyra, VA and Joel Smith of Big Rock, TN, brothers; Jim (Mary) and Chester Smith, both of Pennsylvania, five grandchildren (two grandsons & three granddaughters) and three great grandchildren.
