Cpt Edward Bucher, Army (Ret.)

CPT Edward Bucher(Ret), age 93 of Clarksville, passed away at his residence on Saturday, November 10, 2018 surrounded by his family. There will be a gathering time Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home, with full military honors being held at 4:00 PM.

Edward was born on August 20, 1925 in Wooster, OH to Edward and Blanche Everley Bucher.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his siblings, and daughter Lynn Gibson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Margaret Gray Bucher, children: Edward (Sherrie) Bucher  and Susan (Walter) Haralson, grandchildren: Cory (Kimberly) Gibson, Heather (James) Green, and Melody Haralson, great grandchildren: Damien, Jesse, McKynley, Savannah, and Drake.

Edward devoted his life to our country, serving in both the United States Navy and the United States Army. He fought in WWII and the Korean War. He was an avid train enthusiast, where he was involved in several train organizations in the Clarksville area.
