Connie Shelton

A Celebration of Life service for Connie Sue Shelton, 70, of Southside, TN, will be Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of service.

Connie passed away on March 17, 2022. She was born on August 31, 1951 in Charleston, MO, daughter of Edward "Bucky" and Freida Essary Woodruff. Connie, along with her husband, was the former owner of Southside Store. Connie was a devoted wife, mother, and  "Meme" who lived and loved fiercely. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, painting, shopping, and visiting the beach. Connie was the life of the party and loved a good bottle of wine. She will be missed by her family and all of those that were lucky enough to know her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son-in-law, Erik Terwilliger. Connie is survived by her husband of 38 years, Steve Shelton; daughters, Shawna Terwilliger and Brandi Shelton; siblings: Tommy Essary, Eddie (Nino) Woodruff, and Charlie Woodruff; and grandchildren: Kameron, Abigayle, Ethan, Peanut, Carson, Alex, and Karleigh.
