Christine A. Simmons, 61, went home to glory on August 24, 2014. She was born on October 9, 1952 in Lowmans Village, St. Vincent. Daughter of Vera Simmons and Westfield Woodley (deceased). Christine was a professional cook/caterer, a seamstress, and a housekeeper. Christine was very passionate about spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ, and feeding her family and friends both physically and spiritually. Her home church was St. Joseph Spiritual Baptist Church. She was also a devoted member of the Reconciliation Evangelistic Outreach Center (R.E.O.C.) in Clarksville TN, where she served in the Women's ministry and hospitality. Christine enjoyed reading the Bible, attending church, spending time with family. She also enjoyed outdoor activities such as bike riding and long walks, and in her spare time, she enjoyed puzzles/games. Christine is survived by Louis Goring, father of Debra Woodley-Thomas and husband Dermot, Patrice Simone Goring, Gillian Rachael Goring and son-in-law Francky Jeoboam, Crystal Natoya Elane Goring-Reid and husband Michael, Anthony Louis Goring and wife LaTeai, John-Paul Daniel Goring and wife Latorya. Sisters: Yvonne Woodley-Burke and Joyce Woodley. Brothers: Dave Woodley, (Baby Boy Woodley, Armstrong Woodley, David Woodley, and Jason Woodley deceased). Grandchildren are Nathan and Nigel Thomas, Shanika Louis, Samoy Mottley, Savion Goring, Jabari and Jordan Reid, Anthony Jr and Trinnity Goring, Nailah Jeoboam, Adrian and Aleahia Dibble, Great grand: Kymani Chinapoo. Nephews: Michael Collin, Collron, Corey, and Kerwin Woodley (deceased). Nieces: Lovitha Boyea, Angelle Boyea-Walters, Natasha Burke. A host of family, and friends. The Family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, September 3, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Sykes Funeral Home, 424 Franklin Street Clarksville, TN 37040 for Viewing. Memorial services for Christine A. Simmons will be held at 6pm on Thursday, September 4, 2014. Interment will be at Lowman's Cemetery, St. Vincent on September 14, 2014.
