Christeen Jackson

Funeral services for Christeen Jackson, age 90 of the Hackberry community will be Saturday, November 21, 2015, 2:00 pm at Locust Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Tim Ferrell officiating. Burial will follow at Bob Yarbrough Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 20, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the funeral home and again on Saturday from 1:00 pm until the hour of service at the church. Christeen was born in Hackberry to Douglas and Bertha Jackson on March 27, 1925. She was a lifelong member of Locust Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church and served as secretary there for many years. She was also a 70 year Matron of the Presbyterian Women's Mission Society. She spent her entire working career in retail, starting at McClellan's, then Big K and retired from Wal-Mart in the 90's. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother Herbert B. Jackson. She is survived by a brother, Clayton(Juanita)Jackson, nephews; Herbert A. Jackson, Billy(Kim)Jackson, Chris(Heather)Jackson, nieces, Julie(James)Vaughn and Lisa Teague, 3 great-nieces, 3 great-nephews, 2 great-great nieces and various cousins.
