Chester "Terry" Rippon

Funeral service for Chester Thornton Rippon, age 91 of Clarksville, will be Friday, November 03, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Sykes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 02, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Sykes Funeral Home and Friday, November 03, 2017 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Sykes Funeral Home.
Terry passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at his residence. He was born on November 23, 1925 in Detroit, MI. He was a World War II Veteran of The Canadian Royal Navy. He retired from General Motors in 1981, was an avid golfer, and loved traveling as long as he was the driver.
He is preceded in death by his father, Barney Rippon and mother, Kathleen Birch; first wife of 30 years, Betty, second wife of 30 years, Phyllis; daughter, Kathleen Rippon, a brother and sister.
He is survived by his loving companion, Patreva Cornell, children; John Rippon, Ruth Rippon, Thomas (Chris) Rippon, Susan (Randy) Day, Dee (Kon) Selvin, Barbara (Mark) Morrow, 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
