Funeral service for Charles James Sherrill, age 81 of Clarksville, will be Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 10:00 am at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 11, 2012 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Sykes Funeral Home and again on Sat. from 9:00 am until the time of service.
Mr. Sherrill passed away on Wednesday, May 09, 2012 at St. Thomas Hospital. He was born on Dec 28, 1930 in Cumberland County, TN to the late Charles Truman Sherrill and Hazel Mae Kerley Sherrill. He was retired Civil Serviceman from Ft. Campbell and worked in communications. He served in the US Army and Air Force. He was preceded in death by his wife Elsie Myers Sherrill, and one son Stuart Sherrill.
He is survived by his Daughters,Sandra (& Roy) Bowers; Wanda Bumpus, Karen(& Dennis) Hall; Regina(& Tony) Harrison; Sons, Stephen Sherrill; Mark Thomas (& Misty) Sherrill; Sisters, Opal Pierson, Mary Shadler, Naomi Williams. 18 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren.
