Charles William `Baldy` Huggins, 77, Clarksville, died Friday, July 23, 2010, at his home. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend David Mackens officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday & Monday evenings and from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service Tuesday at the funeral home. A Masonic Service will be held 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Huggins was born on August 20, 1932 in Clarksville, son of the late James Frank Huggins and Mary Ellen Yarbrough Huggins. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Charles William Huggins, Jr., and seven siblings. Mr. Huggins was a veteran of the US Army, and served in the Korean War. He was employed by the City of Clarksville as a backhoe operator before his retirement, he was a Mason, member of Palmyra Lodge # 747.

Mr. Huggins is survived by his wife Clara Anita Taylor Huggins, sons; Kenneth (Debbie)Huggins of Smyrna, James Bryant (Donna) Huggins of Clarksville, daughters; Karen Diane (Ed) Caldwell of Clarksville, Pamela Anita Rittenberry of Alton, IL, Tina Louise Sykes of Palmyra, and Beverly Joyce (Mitchell) Wallace, Dover, TN, thirteen grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; he is also survived by brothers; James F. (Martha) Huggins and Hugh B Huggins and a sister Mary Nell (Glen) Clark, all of Clarksville. www.sykesfuneralhome.com
