Charles Vernon Hoskins, Jr.

A Funeral Mass for Charles Vernon Hoskins, Jr., 94, of Clarksville, TN will be Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow in Blanton Hoskins Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. 

Charles was born on June 4, 1930 in Jeff, KY to Chares and Anna Hoskins. Charles was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, The Knights of Columbus, where he served as the Grand Knight, and The Sons of the American Revolution. He was an avid Kentucky football and basketball fan. Charles was a longtime contractor at Ft. Campbell, KY and a car salesman at Clarksville Motors. He was very active in the community. Charles loved volunteering at the soup kitchen and organizing and supporting fundraisers to help those in need.

In addition to his parents Charles is preceded in death by his son, Robert Hoskins, grandchildren, Brian Hoskins, and Matthew Hutcherson, daughter by marriage, Teresa William, and 5 siblings. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Mary L. Hoskins, children: Danny (Diola) Hoskins, Alice (Darro) Cooper, Vernon Hoskins, Kathy (Don) McCleary, Michael (Linda) Hoskins, and Susan (Terry) Evans; children by marriage: Kathy (Jay) Chastain, William (Mary) Hutcherson, Albert (Petra) Hutcherson, and Patrick (Glenda) Hutcherson; 28 grandchildren and 24 great- grandchildren.
