Chancie “C.E.” Francis, Jr. 87, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 12 at Gateway Medical Center.
Chancie was born July 5, 1925 in Bumpus Mills, TN to the late C.E. Francis, Sr. and Thelma Taylor Francis. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Lee Davenport Francis; sisters, Geneva Ellis and Jeanette Ellis.
Chancie was retired from Marvin Hayes Freight Lines. He was a WWII Veteran, a member and Union Steward of Teamster Local #480.
Chancie is survived by daughters, Linda (Larry) Dikeman, Janice Francis; son, Larry (Terry) Francis; sister, Mary Lou Gilbert; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and again on Wednesday 12:00 p.m. until hour of service at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Devin Crabtree, Monty Crabtree, Walter Clark, Craig Stuard, Clay Gilbert and Danny Farmer, Jr.
