Catherine Mary Collins

Catherine Mary Dean May Collins was born July 4th 1971. She came into this world with a big bang being born on our great aunt's couch in Glasgow, Scotland, while on vacation. Giving this beautiful lass dual citizenship in Great Britain and the United States. Cathy left this world to be with our Mother Mary Yarmesch, little Brother Brian May and Father Frances May on December 2nd 2024 in Clarksville Tennessee. Cathy loved Tennessee, this was her home!

Cathy was a beautiful person who never knew a stranger. She had a heart bigger than anyone I know, she would do anything for anyone even if it meant that she would do without, and many times she did. Christopher didn't bring home a friend that didn't become family, and when they had families, it just got bigger. Ma or Nana as she was affectionately called by many, loved all of her children and grandchildren, blood or not. 

Cathy was married to William Randal Collins for nearly 20 years. Wil was the perfect spouse for our sister. He worked hard to give Cathy everything she wished for. She told me that her dream was to have her own home and to have a real Christmas tree and kids and presents all around it! Wil made that happen, I don’t believe in 20 plus years that Wil ever said no to one of our sisters’ crazy plans. Trips when she should have stayed home, presents that took up the entire living room floor. 2-3 nights a week playing bingo, the list goes on. Wil was Pops to our sweet Christopher, he treated him as if he were his own, they have a bond that is amazing to watch, this was so important to her. Wil made Cathy happy and for that we are so thankful. We love you Wil!

Cathy is survived by her loving children Christopher Alexander Dean (MaryJane), Warnita Bonner Foster, Erin Bonner, and Jr. Harris her son from another mother, she was so incredibly proud to be your mother and grandmother to your children. Her grandchildren Marquis, Isis, Michael, Ayesha, Kenza, Malachi, Matthew, Deavon Jr., A’aniya, Chris, Jahmez, Malik, Marco, King, Lovely and Great Granddaughter Makenna were her heart. She loved you all more than you will ever know. Her Grandbabies were her whole world.

Cathy’s surviving siblings, Margaret Reilly Howard (Ray and Reilly) Patricia Bolenbaugh (Tim, Kari, Damon and Jaxen), Stephanie Hart (Michael, Megan, Whitney and Tyler) our sister from another mother Momi, Sister in Law Stephanie May (Breanna, Preston, Branden and Taylor) and her step siblings Neicia Heath (Craig) Nina Corridori (Charles), Douglas Hemmingway (Christi) and Angela Hemmingway. 

Cathy is survived by so many friends and friends that were family that we can not possibly name them all. You know who you are and you know without a doubt how much she loved you. 

Tricia and I want to thank Victoria and Marie for helping with caring for our Momi, Wil, and Christopher. We would also like to thank all of the doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, CNA’s and first responders that helped our beloved sister fight to live as long as she could. 

A small gathering took place on Saturday December 7th. A Celebration of Life will take place July 4th on Cathy’s first heavenly birthday in Clarksville Tennessee.
