Funeral service for Carolyn Akin, age 60 of Greenbriar, will be Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Sykes Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Old Brush Cemetery in Portland, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home. Carolyn passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017 at Palmyra Healthcare. She was born on October 21, 1956 in San Antonio, TX to William and Margie Johnson. She was an elementary school teacher in Robertson County for over twenty years.
