Funeral service for Brenda Heflin Hunter, age 71 of Clarksville, will be Wednesday, Aug 26, 2015 at 10:00 am at Sykes Funeral Home. Andy McQueen, Randall Pardue and Steve Kirby will officiate. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Aug 25, 2015 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Sykes Funeral Home and on Wednesday, from 9:00 am until the time of service.
Brenda passed away on Sunday, Aug 23, 2015 in Brentwood, TN. She was born on April 11, 1944 in Stewart County, TN to Bailey Heflin Sr and Iris Heflin. Dr. Hunter was a lifelong educator. She served as principal at Marshall Elementary, Mahaffey Middle and Lucas Elementary at Fort Campbell Schools. She was a long time member of the Oakland and Dotsonville Churches of Christ.
She is survived by her Daughter, Candice (Andy) McQueen; Son, Craig Hunter; Brother, Bailey Heflin Jr.; Sister, Connie Anderson; Granddaughter, Abigail McQueen; Grandson, Henry McQueen.
Pallbearers will be: Bailey Heflin Jr., Bailey Heflin III, Scott Ellis, Jimmy Hunter, Danny Hunter and Follis Moore.
