Bonna Smith

Bonna Christine Poole Smith, age 81 of Clarksville went to be with her Lord on Sunday, October 28, 2012 at Gateway Medical Center.  Sykes Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.  Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charley Carmack and Rev. Jon Justice officiating.  Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and from 10:00 A.M. until hour of service on Thursday at the Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
She was born January 15, 1931 in Montgomery County, TN to the late Vernon and Blondell Albright Poole.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Smith; first husband, A. Bruce Baggett;  brothers, Vernon Poole, Jr., Charles Edward Poole, Wayne Poole; sisters, Della Ann Poole and Jean Cox.
She was employed by Genesco Shoes as a Credit Manager for over 35 years.  She was a lifetime member of Shady Grove Free Will Baptist Church and attended First Baptist Church of Clarksville where she loved her Sunday School Class and her many friendships. She was a member of the 1949 graduating class of Clarksville High School and a proud member of the 49ers.
She is survived by children, Anthony Bruce “AB” (Mary) Baggett, Mark P.(Joanie) Baggett, Sherry C. (Allan) Hall; step-children, Barbara (Royce) Yarbrough, Bobby (Mary Lou) Smith, Linda (Andy) Anderson, Jane (Pete) Stormer, Richard (Robyn) Smith; 21 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great- grandchildren; brothers, Carroll (Mary Belle) Poole, Bobby (Geneva) Poole, Keith (Pat) Poole; sisters, Edna Baggett, Margie Morris, Ruby (Gordon) Bagwell, Joyce Sager, Linda Keller and Sharon Rose (Al) Hughes.
