Bobby Ted Bumpus, 71, Clarksville, died Monday, September 14, 2009, at Gateway Medical Center.
The funeral will be held at 12:00 noon Wednesday at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Daniels officiating.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. today and from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bumpus was born November 1, 1937 in Clarksville, son of the late Roger J. and Beatrice Ellen Smith Bumpus. He was preceded in death by his brother Bennie Bumpus.
He was owner of Country Road Campers, and member of Christ Fellowship Church.
He is survived by his wife Gloria Jeannie Bumpus; daughters Raini (Gary) Akins; Sonja (Gilbert) Pulley, and Eliana Taylor, all of Clarksville. Other survivors include three grandchildren, one great grandchild, and 1 niece Melissa Collins.
Pallbearers will be Dane Smith, Adam Proctor, Blaine Daniels, Gilbert Pulley, Gary Akins, and Christopher Bowers. His daughters will serve as honorary pallbearers
