Blanche Elizabeth Minniehan Broadbent, 98, Woodlawn, died Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at her residence. A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Blooming Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Shelton and the Rev. Larry Mulberry officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Clarksville. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Sykes Funeral Home. She was the oldest member of Blooming Grove Baptist Church, located in Woodlawn. She was born January 8, 1911, in Montgomery County, TN, daughter of the late W. B. Minniehan and Mattie Edwards Minniehan. She was the wife of N. Howard Broadbent, who preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by an infant son, Nathan, Jr., granddaughters Ardyth and Andrea Broadbent, and twelve brothers and sisters. She is survived by two sisters, Joyce Bryan, Nashville, TN and Zenobia Minniehan, Clarksville, TN; daughter, Rachel B. Wolfe, of Nashville, TN and son, James Woodson Broadbent and wife, Tanya, of Memphis, TN; grandson, Mark Wolfe, Costa Mesa, CA, and Robert Aylan Broadbent, (Maggie) of Pinehurst, NC; granddaughters, Katie Broadbent of Chapel Hill, TN, and Elizabeth Gray ( Corey) of Lolo, MT; three great grand-children, Annie B. Broadbent of Houston, TX, Mace Gray, MT, and Sarah Jane Broadbent, NC; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth (Earl) Sleigh, Edna Minniehan, Mary Eula Minniehan, and Patsy Minniehan, Montgomery County, TN, and a wealth of loving nieces and nephews.
