Billy Monroe Milam, 78, Woodlawn, died Sunday, July 11, 2010, at Montgomery Care & Rehab. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Wilee's Chapel. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m Wednesday and from 12:00 noon until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Milam was born in Stewart County on June 1, 1932, son of the late Edward and Mary Pearl Townsend Milam. He was a retired Wood Working Craftsman. He also served in the US Army during the Korean War. Survived by his wife Virginia Steiner Milam; son Max (Dawn) Milam, brother Charles C. Milam of MI.; sisters Minnie Dunaway of Erin, and Dorothy Proffit of Parsons. He has five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
