Billy Malcolm Hyde, age 82, of Clarksville, TN passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Gateway Medical Center. Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bud Sherrill and Rev. Keith Wilson officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday July 24, 2013 at Sykes Funeral Home and 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Brewers Chapel Cemetery.
He was born in Chapmansboro, TN on May 12, 1931 to the late George Douglas and Ethel Evans Hyde. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Andrew Myers. He was retired from the US Army as well as Acme Boot Company. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
He is survived by wife, Sharon Sparks Hyde; son, Jim Henry (Felisa)Hyde; daughter, Billie Marie Myers; grandchildren, Corrina Hyde, Courtney Hyde, Codi Hyde, Byron Douglas Hyde, Michael Thomas Myers, Jayson Ryan Myers and sister, Dorthy Sue Conrad.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Murff, Don Pryor, Joey Wolfe, Wayne Shearon, Steve Conrad and Brad Greathouse.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, Cancer Research, 2200 Children's Way 2510, Nashville, TN 37232.
