Funeral service for Betty L. Morris, age 78 of Clarksville, will be Tuesday, Apr 17, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Sykes Funeral Home. Rev. Ron Edmondson will officiate. Interment will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday, Apr 16, 2012 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and again on Tuesday from 11:00 am till the time of service at 1:00 pm at Sykes Funeral Home.
Ms. Morris passed away on Friday, Apr 13, 2012 at Gateway Medical Center after a twelve year battle with cancer. She was born on Apr 10, 1934 in Montgomery County, TN to the late William Thomas Martin and Nina Baggett Martin. She was an active member of Women of the Moose and was a Baptist. She was retired from the U S Postal Service as the Administrative Assistant to the Postmaster. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her granddaughter Paige Toon, and Brothers, Carlis and Russell Martin.
She is survived by her Three Daughters, Kathy Sherman Toon, Chris Sherman (Dana) Mahoney; Michele (Todd) Bledsoe; One Son, Ed (Gina) Morris; Beloved Companion, Frank Trice; Six Granddaughters, Shannon Praschak, Andrea Rose, Heather Gray, Jennifer Bledsoe, Kellie Mahoney, Cecilia Morris and Eight Great-Grandchildren. Three Sisters, Edna Garabedian, Patsy Carranza, Della Cook; One Brother, Ray Martin.
