Bessie Gaither

Bessie Elizabeth Gaither, 93, Clarksville, died Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at Grace Health Care.
The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Mitchell and Rev Ronnie Gaither officiating.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Garden. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Gaither was born September 6, 1915 in Dickson County, daughter of the late Bob Rives and Eliza Turner Rives. She was preceded in death by her husband Vermont Gaither; daughter Alice Jane Ellis; four brothers and two sisters. Also, preceded in death by a son-in-law Billy Joe Herrell. She was a homemaker and member of Cumberland Heights United Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, Roger (Faye) Gaither; William Douglas (Ada Mae) Gaither; daughter Judy Herrell and son-in-law Robert Allen Ellis, eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be, Allen Ellis, Marty Ellis, Lathe Gaither, Derek Gaither, Kaleb Gaither, Lance Harris, Bradley Ellis and Jason Scott.
