Barbara Wilson

A Funeral Mass will be held for Barbara Jean Wilson, 77, of Clarksville, TN on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 22, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the church and again on Friday from 10:30 AM until the time of service.

Barbara was born on March 22, 1944 in Hickory, NC to William and Phoebe Fulbright Penland who precede her in death. She passed on July 20, 2021. She was a teacher for over 40 years and a reading specialist. Barbara enjoyed being with her family, studying her faith, shopping, and her cats Smokey Joe and El Tigre.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 39 years, Edward Wilson; children: Teresa Wilson, William Wilson, Barbara (Michael) Velez, Vicki (Tim) Balas, and David Wilson; grandchildren: Linda, Leitha, and Lilli; great-granddaughter, Ivy; and sister, Neta Currie of Weaverville, NC.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Foundation for Cancer Research.
