Barbara Jean Gorney Wallace, 76, Clarksville, died Monday, February 21, 2011, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Pleasant View Baptist Church with Rev. James Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and from 12:00 noon until the time of service Wednesday at the church. Mrs. Wallace was born December 5, 1934 in Montgomery County, daughter of the late William Henry and Eloise Byard Abbott. Mrs. Wallace retired from Acme Boot Co. She is survived by her husband Bobby Wallace; son Troy Eugene (Tina ) Gorney of Spartanburg, SC; brother William Terry (Doris) Abbott; Sisters Faye (Butch) Perry and Ada Mae (Doug) Gaither. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
