Barbara Dee Gibson Read passed away March 24, 2011 at home. There will be a Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be begin at 4:00 p.m. and continue until the hour of service on Tuesday.
Mrs. Read was born May 24, 1927 in Davidson County, daughter of the late John and Rosabel Gibson. She is preceded in death by her husband Cecil Johns Read, and one brother Duncan Gibson. She was a 1946 graduate of East Nashville High School and a member of Eastern Star and a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She is survived by daughters; Dee Pennington of Clarksville, Barbara (Oliver) Muscarella of Merritt Island, FL, sisters; Patricia (Robert) Lee of Chattanooga, Mary (Nelson) Kriegner of Springdale, AR, brother; Bunyan Gibson, one grandchild, Patricia Zettle of Clarksville, and one great grandson Mark Zettle.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her honor to National Kidney Foundation and would be greatly appreciated.
