Arvilla Evelyn Porter Grenier, age 83, of Clarksville, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Gateway Medical Center. Sykes Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. No services are planned.
She was born in New Hampshire on April 8, 1931 to the late Alton Merton Porter, Sr. and Arvilla A. Sweatt Porter. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Norman Porter and Wendell Porter.
Mrs. Grenier was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and a housewife.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Philippe Grenier; son Paul Grenier; daughters, Joyce Davis, Norma Sloan, Brenda (Bruce, Sr.) Lontine; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Merton (Pearl) Porter; sisters, Eva (Terry) Byard, Alda (Malcolm) Barnett, Millie Peletier, Lois Smith, Gloria Sweatt and sister-in-law, Phyllis Fenoff.
