Arthur Robert Shilling, Sr, 56, Clarksville, died Friday, April 2, 2010, at his residence.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Jamison officiating.
Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with full Military Honors. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday and from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Sykes Funeral Home.
He was born in Canton, OH on November 5, 1953 to the late Don and Betty Ault Shilling. He was also preceded in death by a brother Mark Shilling. He is retired from the US Army and the Montgomery County School System.
He is survived by wife Bertha Schaffer Shilling of Clarksville; sons Arthur R. (Tasha) Shilling, Jr of Jacksonville, FL, Don Allen (Melody) Shilling of Hopkinsville, KY; stepdaughter Tabitha Lynn (Johnny) Parker of Clarksville; stepsons Jesse Clayton Frances, Christopher Lee Frances both of Clarksville; brothers Richard (Judy) Manley of Canton, OH, Don E. (Virginia) Shilling of Massilion, OH; sisters Linda Shilling of Sarasota, FL; 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Military will serve as pallbearers.
