Anna Bell Sanders

Anna Bell Sanders, 92, passed Monday, January 16, 2023 at her residence in Houston, Texas.

The funeral service will be Friday, January 27, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Sykes Funeral Home, with Brother Larry King officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Anna was born June 9, 1930 in Hickory Point, Tennessee, daughter of Riley L. and Willie Mai Heaton. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Lee Sanders, husband William “Bill” Sanders and 7 brothers and sisters.

Anna graduated Clarksville High School in 1949 and worked for South Central Bell Telephone. She resided in Clarksville for 91 years, enjoyed cooking, reading, volunteering at Loaves & Fishes, and was a member of Memorial Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter Theresa (Don) Lee of Houston Texas, son Wayne (Sandra) Sanders of Sherwood Ark., grandchildren Rachel (Matt) Rodriguez, Douglas Lee, Caitlin Sanders, Noah Sanders, and great grandchildren Maddox Lee and baby Rodriguez.

Pallbearers will be Douglas Lee, Noah Sanders, Matt Rodriguez, Barry McDaniel, Michael Nunan, and Brett Worsham. Nephews will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
