Amsc(Aw) James Cooper Usn (Ret)

Funeral service for AMSC(AW)James G Cooper USN (RET),  age 65 of Clarksville, will be Sunday March 4, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home with full military honors and will be laid to rest with a burial at sea. The family will receive friends on Saturday March 3rd, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and again on Sunday from 12:00 PM until the time of service.

James passed away on Feb. 26, 2018, at the TN State Veteran's Home.  He was born on Aug 12, 1952 in Lancaster, South Carolina to James Edward and Christine Cooper. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister Teresa Bowman. He was a retired veteran of the United States Navy where he received numerous awards and accommodations.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Catherine Cooper; three sons, Matthew (Heidi) Cooper, Joseph Cooper, Michael (Patricia) Cooper; two daughters, Cassie Cooper and Melody(Tyler) Little; two brothers, Donald (Nancy) Cooper, Joseph (Rhonda) Cooper; and thirteen grandchildren, Ashley, Ally, Garrett, Cody, Gabriel, Michael and Norah Cooper, London Wiley, Brianna Kersey, Stephen and Annabelle Theriot, Mia and Caden.
