Clarksville

Amanda Mae Cue, 76, passed away peacefully at her home in Clarksville, Tennessee, on January 3, 2025. She was born on July 9, 1948, in Cheraw, South Carolina. She attended and graduated from Long High School.

On August 16, 1969, Amanda married her childhood sweetheart and soulmate, Lawrence Cue. Together, they shared over 55 years of love and devotion. Amanda’s life was a testament to her kind heart, radiant smile, and unwavering strength. She brought immeasurable joy to those around her and was deeply dedicated to her faith as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, having been baptized in January 1977. Her commitment to Jehovah and her efforts to share the good news were an inspiration to all who knew her. She firmly believed in the words at Jeremiah 17:7: “Blessed is the man who puts his trust in Jehovah.”

Amanda cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed listening to Motown music, dancing, talking on the phone with her dear friend Eunice Shelley, and relaxing in her favorite brown recliner while watching TV shows like “Family Feud". She also loved taking cruises and keeping her nails beautifully long. Her warmth and wisdom left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.

She is survived by her loving husband, Lawrence Cue; her children Laron Cue (Krystleblue Santos), Ebony Cue, and Timothy Cue (Jessica Cue); her sister Willie Mae Hancock; brother Ronald Bridges; niece Laura Lindsey; great-niece Kiara Lindsey; grandchildren Yaro Griffin-Cue, Keystan Lunceford-Tucker, Alexandria Cue, Elijah Cue, and Evander Cue; as well as many cousins, friends, and spiritual brothers and sisters. Amanda was preceded in death by her parents Lucille Bridges and Willie Scott; siblings Jerry Bridges, Donald Bridges, and Mary Lucille Bridges.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Sykes Funeral Home, 424 Franklin Street, Clarksville, TN. A memorial service will be at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 945 Tiny Town Road, Clarksville, TN at a later date.

The Cue family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love, hugs, food, phone calls, texts, visits, cards, flowers, prayers, and support during this difficult time. You “have become a great source of comfort” for us. (Colossians 4:11). We thank you.
