Aline James Clardy, 83, passed away Tuesday May 3, 2011 at Gateway Medical Center. Funeral service will be on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gene Parton officiating. Visitation will be Thursday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., and Friday 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Smith Cemetery in Stewart County. Arrangements by Sykes Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc.
Mrs. Clardy was born August 2, 1927 in Big Rock, daughter of the late Bailey and Ethel Walker James. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald Edward Clardy and two sisters Rava Nell Sanders and Dorothy Elouise Lombardi.
Mrs. Clardy managed the Davis Shop for 34 years. She was a member of the Olivet Free Will Baptist Church
.
She is survived by her son David (Debbie) Clardy, and granddaughter Dava Lynn (Antonio) Murgas.
